David, sculpted by Italian sculptor Michelangelo Buonarrort, is one of the highest achievements of sculpture during the Renaissance. It is currently housed at the gallery of the Florence Academy of Fine Arts in Italy. Michelangelo worked on David with tremendous passion, presenting us not only a marble statue but also a symbol of liberty and freedom revealed by art.
