On May 18th, 2010, the exchange group from University of Oklahoma, including 8 professors and graduates major in vocal music, piano and Band music, visited Music Department in our school and had academic exchange. The professors gave master classes in their respect fields to our students, which are welcomed by teachers and students in Music department, RUC. In the morning of May 19th, Senior Deputy Dean Xu Weixin, Deputy Dean Zhao Fang and Deputy Director of Music Department Wang Mei had discussion with the members in the exchange group. During the meeting, the both sides give many feasible suggestions to the cooperation of the both sides.

 

In the evening of May 20th, teachers and students from OU gave us an excellent performance in RUC Yifu meeting center. They used their songs, solo and quintet of several brass wind instruments to perform Jazz, Classic and popular musical composition, getting passionate applauses from audience. The performance gave us a good teaching direction and wonderful artistic enjoyment.
