In order to introduce outstanding ethnic culture and promote and preserve a rich spirit of ethnic art among modern college students, Renmin University of China’s School of Arts invited Wu Benru, chairman of Xining Musician’s Association, and two performers of the “Flower” ballad named Ma Quan and Gong Shourong to present this work to the campus community.  Their performance resounded through the Yifu Assembly Hall on the evening of March 31 with distinctly ethnic sounds and a strong local atmosphere.  The male and female pair took turns giving variations on styles from different ethnic groups, regions, flora and life.
