Biography ：
Mingming Yang, a soprano, is a vocal teacher for teaching and performing classic opera and Lieders at the school of arts, Renmin University of China. She started her vocal performance career as a solo singer at the Zongzheng Opera of PLA in Beijing in 1997 after graduation from the PLA Academy of Arts in Beijing. She went to Germany for more advanced vocal education in 1999 and graduated from the Berlin Academy of Music (Hochschule fuer Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin), Germany with a master’s degree in Vocal Music and Opera Performance in 2003. In both China and abroad, She has participated as a solo singer in the following opera performance: “Quyuan”、 “Le nozze di Figaro”、 “Don Giovanni”、“Cosi fan tutte”、 “La Boheme”. In 2005, she performed the theme song “Loved people” of the TV series film “Ren Changxia” produced jointly by CCTV and other organizations and participated in the related vocal performance and recording program “Voice of TV film” of CCTV.
Education：
- Graduated from the music department of Hebei Art School with the highest scores in 1992;
- Obtained a bachelor's degree in art from the music department of the PLA Academy of Arts in 1997; passed the academy admission exams with the highest scores and studied vocal performance and music under the supervision of Prof. Yu Mengling and Liu Daming.
In 1998, began her Diplom-study at the Berlin Academy of Music (Hochschule fuer musik Hanns Eisler Berlin), where she studied under the supervision of the famous German soprano and vocal educator Prof. Norman Sharp. During this education period, she also played solo roles in different concerts and operas. She successfully completed her study with a Master's degree in vocal music and opera performance in 2003.
Research Interests:
Vocal and opera performances, in particular, Puccini’s and Mozart operas and German Lieders.
