Wang Ying, a visiting cellist in The United Kingdom, received her doctorate from the Central Conservatory of Music. She is an associate professor and director of the Teaching and Research Department of String Music at the Renmin University of China. She graduated from the Central Conservatory of Music. She holds a Master's degree from the Royal Northern College of Music and a Doctor's degree from the Central College of Music. She once studied with Professor Hu Guangquan of Jilin University of the Arts, Professor Yu Mingqing of Central Conservatory of Music, and Hannan Roberts of the Royal Northern College of Music
She is a cellist and she performs regularly on the national and international music stage. She once won the first prize in the First String Quartet Competition held by The Central Conservatory of Music. At the fifth National Cello Competition, she won the award for Excellent Performance. In 2019, she won the National Arts Fund Youth Stage Arts Performance Project. During her tenure at the Grand Theatre, she was the principal performer of many symphonies and opera concerts. At the same time, she has performed in Carnegie Hall in New York, The Concert Hall of the National Grand Theatre, Beijing Concert Hall, Qingdao Grand Theatre, Tianjin Concert Hall, etc
She is one of the founders of the Beijing Chamber Orchestra and the Rock Trio and has traveled throughout the United States, Germany, Finland, Ireland, Belgium, and other countries. She has made every effort to integrate Chinese elements into the traditional Western Musical Instruments and to play the works of famous contemporary Chinese composers. Among them, the piano trio Drama Rhyme has also been supported by the National Arts Fund.
She is an educator, and many excellent students have been cultivated. These students have been admitted to famous universities in the United States and Europe for further study. She has published papers in core journals such as Music Creation, Music Exploration and Symphony.
