In the afternoon of April 22, 2009, Feng Yuan, Vice President of China Federation of Literary and Art Circles (CFLAC) gave a speech on the Scientific Outlook on Development and Art Education. Dean Xu Qingping, Senior Deputy Dean Zheng Xiaohua, Vice Dean Xu Jun, faculty members and students attended the speech.

The speech put emphasis on the essence of Scientific Outlook on Development and its relationship with art education, the relationship between art education and China ’s cultural development, the current situation of art in China and its future, and many other issues. Feng Yuan pointed out that the essence of the Scientific Outlook on Development is people oriented, Comprehensive, coordinated and sustainable development, and development is the keystone. He talked about how to implement Scientific Outlook on Development in art education, and impel training of personnel in college from different angles. At last, Feng Yuan answered questions from audience.
