Dr.Zhang Chun
Professor Zhang Chun，Dean of the School of Arts at Renmin University of China (RUC), Artist specialized in oil painting,Doctoral Supervisor.
Prof. Zhang is also the Member of the first National College Aesthetic Education Steering Committee, Member of the Oil Painting Art Committee of China Artists Association, Academic Member of the Beijing Contemporary Chinese Xieyi (写意) Oil Painting Research Institute, Member of the Oil Painting Art Committee of Beijing Artists Association, Board Member of the China-Europe Education Alliance for Humanities and Arts (CEEAHA), etc. He once served as the Dean of the Academy of Fine Arts of Shandong Universityof Arts,Vice Chairman of Shandong Artists Association,Vice Chairman of Shandong Oil Painting Society, etc.He initiated and curated a range of international and national academic events and grand art exhibitions, such as the international academic forum“Contemporary Fundamental Education on Scholastic Plastic Art,”“2008 International Excellent Documentary Film Exhibition,”large-scale artistic series event“Shandong in the Eyes of Western Painters,”etc.
His works have been exhibited in many influential exhibitions and stand out in various competitions at home and abroad. His works have been collected by multiple national and international institutions, such as the Central Military Commission of the Communist Party of China, the first International Import Expo of China, China Artists Association, China Culture Administration Association, China National Museum of Women and Children, Italian Art and Culture Center, Busan Contemporary Art Center of South Korea, Shandong Museum, etc. His representative works includeMillennium Gathering,My Father and Mother,White Plum,Silent Thousand-Buddha Cliff, Distant News, Nostalgia for the Futureseries,Stories of Youth series,Antique Street series,Tree series,Garden series, Beijing Opera series, etc.
