Born in Inner Mongolia in 1989.

Currently teaching at the School of Arts, Renmin University of China. Gao Yuan's paintings have been featured in significant domestic and international exhibitions, including the 2015 "Visual China·Intercontinental Young Artists Paris Nomination Exhibition" and the 2015 "Six Cities Chronicle" China New Ink Art Joint Exhibition. Other notable exhibitions include the 2016 "National Seminar and Exhibition on Landscape Painting Teaching in Higher Art Colleges" and the 2018 "Confession of Post-Tradition" Contemporary Ink Invitation Exhibition.Participation in major exhibitions continued with events like the 2020 "First Jinan International Biennale Youth Project," the 2020 "Ink Exploration by Artists Born After 1980, China Contemporary Ink Annual Five-Year Cross-Year Exhibition," and the 2021 "Across the Shore - Nomination Exhibition of Youth Gongbi Painting on Borders and Orders." Gao Yuan's works were also part of the 2022 "Transformation of Substance and Text: Diverse Expressions in Contemporary Ink" and the 2023 "Youth Imprint - The 9th Guanshan Yue Art Museum Youth Gongbi Painting Exhibition."Selected for the 2020-2021 ARTCLOUD China SAP Art Award, Gao Yuan's pieces are held in collections at institutions like the China Academy of Art's Chinese Painting School and the Central Academy of Fine Arts Museum. Academic contributions include publications in prestigious domestic journals such as "Art Research" and "Art Observation."
