  Born in July, 1956, the Han nationality,professor,Doctoral Supervisor, Dean - Research Institute of Renaissance, Renmin University of China; Member - Oil Painting Art Committee, China Artists Association; Member - Arts Committee for the Preservation and Restoration of Comprehensive Materials Painting and Artistic Works of the Chinese Artists Association.


1978—1982,Admitted to Department of Arts and Crafts, Nanjing University of the Arts

1983—1986,Further studied Oil Painting in Department of Fine Arts, Nanjing University of the Arts, instructed by Professor Liu Haisu and Su Tianci

1988-1990,Hired and worked as the editor of China Art Weekly

2000-2010,Hired and worked as the professor of Academy of Fine Arts of Nanjing University, director of Oil Professional Studies Office, visiting Professor of Nanjing University of the Arts and Distinguished Professor of Nanjing Museum

2014—2017,Dean of School of Art, Renmin University of China

2014,President of Renaissance Research Institute of Renaissance, Renmin University of China


  He highlights his research interest in the Comparison of eastern and Western Art, and the Discipline Development of "Art Technology." His featured publications include “A Comparative Study of Eastern and Western Sculpture,” “Renaissance in the Eastern World,” and “One Man’s Renaissance.” He presided over the project of “Science Research Fund of Remin University on Discipline Development of “Art Technology”-Taking Fahai Temple “Situational Experience Classroom” and so forth.

  He held and participated in many exhibitions including Renaissance in the Eastern World—the academic exhibition of Ding Fang(15/06/2015 - the Palazzo Medici Riccardi, Florence, Italy), the Sacred Landscape – the oil painting exhibition of Ding Fang (20/03/2015-20/05/2015 – the Rose Rock Art Club, Beijing), USA in Chinese Artists’ Eyes—exhibition of Chinese modern art (05/09/2015 – Yanhuang Art Museum, Beijing), Colorful Guizhou—exhibition of Chinese art(05/2014 – National Art Museum of China).
