Yan Ping was born in 1956 in Ji Nan, Shan Dong province. She graduated
from Shan Dong College of Arts in 1983 and took advanced study in China
Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1991. She is a professor of Xu Beihong
School of Arts at Renmin University , director of Chinese Oil Painting
Academic Society, and director of China Artist Association. Her works
have been selected and awarded nationally and internationally. She has
published Ping Yan-Selection of Contemporary Chinese Oil Painting,
Anthology of Yan Ping and many others. She was awarded excellent award
of the sixth and ninth National Fine Arts Exhibition, and silver medal
of the tenth National Fine Arts Exhibition.
